On the brighter side Adam is feeling great! This is very abnormal...and I don't think I'm used to it yet. Plus...he got released a couple months back from his stake calling, so he's home every night now...yes...every night. The boys have not been used to him tucking them in bed. He's also home on Sundays...it's great...we love having him around and feeling good. He even volunteers to come with me to the store!!!
Who knows! The boys were supposed to be in bed and this is what we ended up doing!
The boys made Adam an awesome Candy bar poster for Valentines day. I think Nathan has eaten most of the candy!
Logan got to dress up for "Fancy Nancy" day on Valentine's day. I got him some "bling" to make him extra fancy!
Nathan actually smiling right before church. He is going through an "I don't want to go to church" phase. But hey...if your mom let you watch tv all day you wouldn't want to go to church either!
ps... Whatever Wednesday is a great idea I found on another blog. Every wednesday the kids get to eat "whatever" they want for dinner....within set parameters of course. ie: cereal, toast, frozen pizza, etc. It's great...I don't have to plan or cook!

You guys have such a cute family! It is so good to hear that Adam is feeling better. We are so sorry to hear that you have to have surgery but you have a great husband who will be by your side and take care of you. Good Luck with everything!
You deserve a whatever Wednesday... seriously a Daddy-o surgery and a potential Mommy surgery?! EAT Cake and the crumbs if you want!
Whatever Wednesday sounds great..I kind of did an almost similar thing with having some sort of sandwich every Friday, rather than going out:) Glad to hear Adam is doing so well..I guess when it's time for your surgery he will be ready to take care of you:) I hope things go well and that you will have a quick recovery!
I'm copying Whatever Wednesday.
I think I might do Whatever Friday too.
And Saturday.
I tried a no TV week and it was the worst week of my life. Nick got a tooth knocked out. My house was a mess. I was so glad when that week was over.
(And it's not science but I watched a lot of TV and played a ton of computer games growing up and I am very intelligent and responsible and nice and humble.)
I am certain that there is no scientific proof about the tv/wii thing!! (If there is, I'm in huge trouble :) Sorry to hear about your surgery. That really sucks. But also glad to hear that Adam is doing so well.
Oh man, surgery. You poor thing! If it makes you feel any better I've let Jonah play the DS for hours on end every once in awhile too.
I'm so sorry to hear that you have a surgery in the very near future! I will bring you guys dinner or whatever you need when you have it. Who is your cardiologist & did a girl named Shari do your echo? I used to work at the cardiology clinic here...I don't know if that's where you even go. It was good to visit with you this past weekend.
My kids never watch TV or play video games all day ... uh .... errr ... :) I'm with ya - sometimes us moms just need those kind of days. And, it is it bad that my husband wonders what the occasion is when I do have my hair and makeup done? :)
