The BEST Birthday EVER!

What does a soon-to-be four-year-old want most for his birthday? To spend it at grandpa's cabin with his cousins. Wish granted! Nate's birthday was the 25th, Sunday, so that meant a whole weekend dedicated just to him! Grandpa has been working on this cabin for the past few years. It's not qutie finished, but habitable.

The kids took walks searching for chipmunks....

Got plenty of bug spray....

What would a birthday be without the cake? (Tigger and Pooh friends per his request)

We took lots of pictures....

Taught the boys how to shoot marshmallows out of pipe....

Had marshmallow wars....

Enjoyed the "clubhouse" uncle Kendrick built for the kids....

Smacked the pinata a few times....

Opened lots....

and lots....

of presents! At the end of the day Nathan proudly exclaimed, "This is the BEST birthday ever! (I think he had fun)

On Sunday we celebrated again at Grandma Hendrickson's. Logan took time out of his busy schedule to write Nathan a card. (on the bottom is the alphabet tree. What is a card without an alphabet tree?)

Couldn't survive without more cake!

And of course...more presents!

Here are some things I love about this 4-year-old:

1. Nathan is very inquisitive...he asks lots of questions and wants to know how things work.
2. He is very empathetic and recognizes emotions...when someone is sad, mad, happy, etc.
3. He is not afraid of people. He will talk to ANYONE!
4. He LOVES friends...he wants everyone to be his friend.
5. He will try anything...at least once.
6. He is a good eater.
7. He was super easy to potty train...did most of it himself.
8. He wants to be big and do things himself.
9. He adores his older brother.
10. He is super proud of his Daddy and wants to go with him all the time!
11. He is a Happy Kid!

Love you Buddy...Here's to the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!!
